Our initial appointment phone calls can take up to 20 minutes as we need to collect information about you, your pet and their medical history.

To expedite the process of scheduling your pet’s initial appointment, you can complete a short online form or print out the form as a PDF and email it to ( or fax it to (678-803-2646).

Our customer service representatives will follow up with you by phone to collect the additional information needed as well as to schedule the initial appointment.

If your dog is “down,” (paralyzed and unable to walk), phone our office immediately at 678-803-2626 and be sure that our Customer Service Representative understands that your dog is “down”.  The sooner we begin working with a neurologically compromised animal, the better his/her chances are for full recovery. 

We do not require a referral from your primary care veterinarian or surgeon.  As soon as an appointment has been scheduled, our staff will contact your primary care veterinarian as well as any veterinary specialist in order to create a complete medical history and clinical picture of your pet’s case.

If your veterinarian would like to speak with one of GVR’s veterinarians we are happy to speak with her/him and take the referral information over the phone

GVR works as a team with you and your pet’s veterinarians to create a treatment plan. We communicate directly with your pet’s veterinarian, sending them a letter immediately after the initial visit with our findings and recommendations.  GVR’s veterinarians and therapists are happy to continue communicating with your primary care veterinarian as needed throughout your pet’s treatment. Saturday: Every other, 9 am – 2 pm.

Drop off appointments available with advanced notice, call (678) 803-2626.  There is no charge for patients who stay with us for less than 4 hours.  For those who need to stay longer than 4 hours, there will be a nominal fee.

GVR is located in the Johnson Ferry Professional Building, near the main intersection of Roswell Road and Johnson Ferry Rd. The closest intersection is Johnson Ferry Rd with Johnson Ferry Place. (Around the corner from The Avenues and almost across the street from Merchant’s Walk.)

From Johnson Ferry Road, turn onto Johnson Ferry Place (immediately across from the Market Plaza Shopping Center). Turn right into the Johnson Ferry Professional Building plaza parking lot at the second driveway, and immediately turn left, just past the GVR sign. Continue to the back of the parking lot. GVR’s entrance is right at the corner of the back of Building 2, Suite J-70.
